Ethiopia, Tanzania clash again in CECAFA quarters
Ethiopia vs.Tanzania – Addis Ababa @3:30pm
Less than two days after clashing on Saturday, Ethiopia and Tanzania face off again this time in the quarter finals of the 2015 CECAFA Challenge Cup.
The two sides played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday in Awassa stadium and now shift the battle to Addis.
The draw saw Ethiopia earn a quarter final berth at the expense of Burundi who had earlier slipped to Uganda Cranes with the hosts qualifying as one of the best third placed team alongside Sudan.
For Tanzania, they had already secured their slot after wins over Rwanda and Somalia but it was a do or die for Ethiopia who needed a late own goal to send the capacity crowd at Awassa into frenzy.
Expect both coaches to change strategy although the Kilimanjaro stars with John Raphael Bocco, Kevin Yondani, Simon Msuva and Erias Maguli among others will remain favourites.
The winner here will take the winner between Uganda and Malawi who face off earlier on the day in the first quarter final of the tournament.
