Chelsea this weekend expect to celebrate the club’s diversity and inclusion work at there annual Game for Equality.

For the past two seasons we have joined forces with Kick It Out, Football v Homophobia, Show Racism the Red Card, the Premier League and the Football Association. We will do so again for the visit of Stoke City on Saturday.
This season we are also proud to link up with the Gay Football Supporters’ Network as we underline our commitment to tackling discrimination in all forms, while promoting equality throughout the club, our communities and our supporters.
The Game for Equality falls under our Building Bridges campaign and the first team will be wearing the logo on their kit during the match against Stoke City.  This will be the third time the team have worn the Building Bridges logo on their kit.

Cesc Fabregas, a long-term campaigner for equality and anti-discrimination, said: ‘It is a pleasure to support the aims of this game and the players are fully committed to standing up to all forms of discrimination.
‘Football is a global game and that is reflected by the players, fans and staff at Chelsea and it is important we celebrate this.
'I support all work promoting equality and days like this will help get the message out. There is no place for discrimination in any walk of life and this should be reflected by football.’
The match is a celebration of the club’s on-going diversity and inclusion work.
This includes the ground-breaking Asian Star initiative and the Chelsea Foundation’s equality and diversity workshops.
This year the club has also formed our first LGBT fan group, supported International Women’s Day and hosted the Kick It Out fundraising dinner.
Through the Building Bridges initiative and working alongside equality organisations, we are wholly committed to providing a range of activities highlighting the dangers and impact of discriminatory behaviour including Saturday’s Game for Equality.
